A vehicle goes to the car wash. Anything soft, or a tiled floor, is carpets, upholstery and tiles. If it floats or it flies, it's marine and aviation. A business premises is a deep clean, and we look at it first.

Very little water. Nothing to rinse off afterwards.
Your lounge suite is usually back in use the same day. Dry steam lifts dirt with heat and carries very little water.
The steam itself needs no chemical, so there's nothing to rinse off a surface your family sits on, sleeps on or eats off.
